Whistle-blower regulations

Your employees must be able to safely report abuses and deviations in product integrity. To guarantee this, you can join the Normec whistleblower scheme. The whistleblower scheme allows employees to report misconduct and/or deviations to us completely anonymously. This ensures that the person reporting it does not suffer any negative consequences.

Whistleblower policy at a glance

  • If you have signed the whistleblower policy, misconduct and deviations regarding product integrity can be reported by calling 0800 – 3844000

  • Reports of misconduct are always completely anonymous, so that the person reporting does not suffer any negative consequences

  • We will draw up an agreement with your organisation stating that you will take measures after a report has been made.

  • To do this, you can use our phased step-by-step plan

Agreement

An effective whistleblowing scheme has major benefits for your organisation. As soon as your organisation agrees to the whistle-blower scheme, an agreement is drawn up. This agreement stipulates that you effect, without undue delay, all necessary corrections and corrective measures.

A phased roadmap

If a report comes in, we record it and communicate it to your organisation's management. We do this by implementing a phased step-by-step plan to ensure that the report is dealt with. First, we conduct an in-depth root cause analysis, after which we implement corrections and corrective measures to eliminate deviations relating to product integrity and their causes. Finally, we verify that the correct measures have been taken.

BRC 8

As part of a number of requirements, it is now mandatory to have a whistleblower policy in place. This is stated in the draft version of the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety version 8. It states that a procedure must be established in which senior management must handle whistleblower reports.
