De PCR method

PCR stands for Polymerase Chain Reaction. This method is unique because it works with the DNA of a specific microorganism. Simply put, this method makes the DNA of a microorganism stand out. This also makes studying that specific microorganism a lot easier.

How does this method work?

To help the DNA stand out, our researchers use a "kit". In this kit, they attach a kind of figurative label to the DNA; this is what we call a "tag". The labelling process is made possible by raising and lowering the temperature. Once the DNA has been tagged, we can tell whether or not any DNA material is present. In approximately 90% of cases, we’re pleased to find that there isn’t.

If DNA is detected, we then need to determine whether it originates from living or dead organisms. But of course, the most important outcome is finding no DNA at all, so production can move forward with peace of mind.

Real-time PCR method

We use the real-time PCR method. This is a form of PCR that uses a luminous "label". In this way, it can be measured in real-time. This makes it possible to submit the results of the examination 24 hours earlier. This allows you to sell your products earlier and extend the shelf life by a whole day. The results of the survey can easily be viewed via our online system, or you will receive them by email. If we find DNA material, we always call you to provide further explanation and advice.
