VCA** certification
VCA**
Direct control of HSE on the work floor and focus on the HSE management structure
In addition to the VCA* questions, VCA** also focuses on the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) structure, including policy, organization (consultation, follow-up), and continuous improvement, with the potential involvement of subcontractors.
Certification means that an external certification body independently determines that you operate in compliance with a specific standard. A certificate is issued by the certification body, and annual spot checks are conducted to verify whether you continue to meet the standard's requirements.
The benefits of VCA**
Broader focus on HSE policy and organization
Suitable for companies working with subcontractors
Independent proof of a comprehensive safety culture
Competitive edge in larger or more complex projects
The VCA-checklist
The VCA checklist helps companies structure their approach to safety. Originally developed for the (petro)chemical sector, VCA is now also used in other industries where high-risk activities take place, such as:
mechanical engineering and technical construction
electrical engineering and process control
construction and civil engineering
technical services such as insulation, scaffolding, industrial cleaning, blasting/coating, and vertical transport
With a VCA certificate, your company demonstrates that safety is a priority. It shows customers, suppliers, and employees that you take the necessary preventive measures during work activities.
Additionally, it provides an objective assessment of your safety policy.
The client determines whether a VCA certificate is required and at what level: VCA*, VCA**, or VCA Petrochemie. This table will help you make the right choice. Normec BTV Audit offers certification at all levels.
Note: VCA is not intended for self-employed individuals without employees. For them, the Besacc certificate has been developed.
