VCA Petrochemicals certification
VCA Petrochemical
Direct control of HSE on the work floor, focus on the HSE management structure, and specific requirements for the petrochemical industry.
This certificate is intended for companies operating as main contractors in the petrochemical industry. Six out of the eight additional VCA** questions are mandatory for VCA Petrochemie, and at least one of the two remaining additional questions must also be answered successfully.
Certification means that an external certification body independently verifies that you operate in compliance with a specific standard. A certificate is issued by the certification body, and annual audits are conducted to ensure continued compliance with the standard's requirements.
The benefits of VCA Petrochemie
Specifically for main contractors in the petrochemical industry
Access to petrochemical projects
Enhanced safety and control in high-risk environments
Independent proof of top-level HSE management
The VCA-checklist
The VCA checklist helps companies structure their approach to safety. Originally developed for the (petro)chemical sector, VCA is now also used in other industries where high-risk activities take place, such as:
mechanical engineering and technical construction
electrical engineering and process control
construction and civil engineering
technical services such as insulation, scaffolding, industrial cleaning, blasting/coating, and vertical transport
With a VCA certificate, your company demonstrates that safety is a priority. It shows customers, suppliers, and employees that you take the necessary preventive measures during work activities.
Additionally, it provides an objective assessment of your safety policy.
The client determines whether a VCA certificate is required and at what level: VCA*, VCA**, or VCA Petrochemie. This table will help you make the right choice. Normec BTV Audit offers certification at all levels.
Note: VCA is not intended for self-employed individuals without employees. For them, the Besacc certificate has been developed.
