• uphold the impartiality and independence of all individuals involved in the audit process;

• maintain Normec BTV Audit’s independence from interest groups;

• continuously improve its services.

The management ensures this by:

• providing the necessary resources to ensure the organization operates efficiently and with high quality;

• regularly evaluating and qualifying employees;

• ensuring that all employees receive the necessary training and education;

• periodically reviewing and adjusting the quality system as needed;

• ensuring that the provisions of the quality policy are understood, applied, and upheld at all levels of the organization;

• appointing an Impartiality Committee responsible for overseeing the independence of Normec BTV Audit. This committee consists of various stakeholders, including clients, customers, and external prevention services.

To safeguard impartiality and independence, the following rules apply:

• Normec BTV Audit will not perform certification activities at the following organizations : Normec BTV asbl, Normec Planning bv and other companies of the Normec group.

• Normec BTV Audit will not engage consultancy firms for audits and will not offer consultancy services in the areas where it provides certification services.

• Normec BTV Audit will not conduct internal audits for organizations it has certified.

• Normec BTV Audit will not certify the quality management system of another certification body.
