Quality in motion: preparing for the future

Quality in motion – preparing for the future

The food industry is dealing with fast changes, stricter rules, and growing expectations around sustainability, safety, and transparency. For QA pros, this means a constantly changing game where knowledge, insight, and adaptability are key. During the Knowledge Event Quality in Motion on 9 October in Ghent, we will delve deeper into three current themes that every quality manager has to deal with: How do you draw up an effective and cost-conscious monitoring plan that really provides insights? How do you translate this knowledge into a concrete plan at product group level in practice? And how can you prepare today for the radical changes that 2026 will bring? With inspiring sessions, practical working groups and opportunities for exchange, this event will give you the tools you need to operate more strongly, more intelligently and in a future-proof manner within your organisation.

About the knowledge sessions

Session 1: From plan to insight: how to build an effective monitoring plan

Drawing up a well-founded monitoring or analysis plan is no easy task. Where do you start? How do you ensure that your analyses are not only carried out, but also yield real insights? And just as important: how do you avoid unnecessary costs and wasted time and resources?

In this session, we will take you step by step through the process of setting up a targeted and efficient monitoring plan. Using a practical step-by-step plan, you will discover how to arrive at relevant analyses, how to avoid pitfalls and how to get maximum value from your data with the right approach.

Session 2: Hands-on: draw up your own monitoring plan for each product group

Time to put theory into practice. In this interactive session, you will work in small groups to draw up a monitoring plan for a specific product group. Under supervision, you will work in a concrete and targeted manner: from risk assessment to analysis methods and measurement frequency. You choose the product group you want to work with.

This session offers opportunities to exchange practical experience, engage in focused discussion and generate useful output that you can apply directly in your own organisation.

Please note: When registering, please indicate which product group you are most interested in. We will take this into account as much as possible when forming the working groups.

Session 3: Looking ahead to 2026: are you ready?

2026 is just around the corner — and it brings with it a flood of new regulations and challenges. In this session, we look ahead and take you through the most important themes on the quality agenda.

What exactly is changing? What does this mean for your organisation in concrete terms? And above all: how can you prepare for this without losing sight of the big picture?

Together, we will discuss practical tips and strategies for anticipating changes in a timely and effective manner.

Topics covered will include: EUDR, sustainability, packaging, allergens, drinking water and environmental monitoring. We will also discuss the growing importance of process control and validation.

This session will provide you with guidance in a rapidly changing landscape — so that you and your organisation can work towards 2026 with confidence.
