Webinar IFS Food version 8
IFS Food version 8 was published on 18 April 2023. Audits according to IFS Food version 8 can take place from 1 October 2023 and are mandatory for all certified companies as of 1 January 2024.
Reason for change to IFS version 8
IFS indicates that it considers it essential to continue to anticipate upcoming changes in the market.
In view of the update of the General Principles of Food Hygiene (CXC 1-1969, rev. 2020) of the Codex Alimentarius in November 2020 and consultation of the new ISO 22003-2 standard for product and process standards, it has been decided to proceed with a revision of the IFS standard from version 7 to version 8. The revision also enables IFS to incorporate valuable feedback from stakeholders on IFS Food version 7.
Curious about the changes in IFS 8 compared to IFS 7?
