Agra Service Nabuurs on Normec Robalab
Agra Service Nabuurs and Normec Robalab have enjoyed a strong partnership based on trust, flexibility, and knowledge for over 30 years
In a pleasant conversation at the kitchen table of the family business Agra Service Nabuurs, a company specializing in manure distribution, waste transport, container rental, and transport, Wilma Nabuurs and her son Wouter talk about their collaboration with Normec Robalab.
Thirty years of cooperation based on trust
Agra Service Nabuurs was founded in 1991 by Hans and Wilma Nabuurs and has grown into a solid family business with six vehicles and four permanent employees. The collaboration between Agra Service Nabuurs and Normec Robalab has been in place for more than 30 years. This partnership is based on trust, flexibility, and knowledge. It began in the early 1990s when Hans Nabuurs got talking to Iwan, co-founder of Normec Robalab. The obligation to sample manure was new, and Robalab was able to do this close to home. This meant that the lines of communication were short.
Trusted partnership with room for growth
The takeover of Robalab by Normec did not change the collaboration. Despite a number of changes, the familiar feeling has remained. The knowledge within Normec Robalab has only increased, which benefits Agra Service Nabuurs' customers. Over the years, Wouter has taken on more and more tasks within the company and has increasingly made his mark. Wouter emphasizes the importance of periodically evaluating partnerships. “It's good to take stock every now and then and see if anything needs to be adjusted,” says Wouter. “But it's also important to realize that if something is working well, you should appreciate it and hold on to it! By taking a critical look at things, we have noticed that the quality Normec Robalab delivers is always paramount.”
“At that time, we didn't always have all the knowledge we needed about forms and legislation,” says Wouter. “A quick call to Normec Robalab was all it took, and they had all the knowledge we needed and were always helpful and supportive.”
This created a good relationship and mutual trust, which was later strengthened during a more difficult period. “During the swine fever crisis, everything suddenly came to a standstill and manure could no longer be transported,” says Wilma. “It was a difficult time and we had to change in order to stay afloat. We also started doing other transport work, which we still do today.”
Normec Robalab collects samples from various customers on a daily basis, but of course we go for a personal approach. One of the conveniences Wouter enjoys is that he can take the samples to the lab himself. Personal contact is also extremely important to Agra Service Nabuurs. “I can just drop by in my own time and according to my own schedule to drop off the samples. Not everyone offers that flexibility. It's also always nice to have a cup of coffee with the familiar faces behind the counter.”
In addition to the feeling of trust, the measurements are accurate, fast, the reports are clear, and knowledge is readily available for advice if needed. This is important for providing manure buyers with the right information. “At Normec Robalab, you have all the advantages of a committed and solid company with a wealth of knowledge behind it,” concludes Wouter.
