Immerse yourself in the world of food legislation

On 20 and 21 November 2025, Normec Foodcare, in collaboration with Wageningen Academy, will once again be organising the two-day Food Legislation course. This practical course will teach you how European and national food regulations are structured, from labelling to food safety.

Why take this course?

Legislation and regulations are playing an increasingly important role in the food industry. Whether you work in product development, food safety or compliance, up-to-date knowledge of food legislation is essential. During this course, experts from the legal profession, academia, government and industry will translate complex regulations into practical tools. You will gain insight into:

  • The General Food Regulation (ALV)

  • Responsibilities and liability

  • Labelling and nutrition claims

  • Food fraud and chemical contamination

  • Additives, novel foods and organic legislation

  • Supervision, enforcement and incident management

There will also be plenty of opportunity for interaction, practical examples and questions.

For who is this course?

This course is suitable for professionals in the food industry who deal with legislation and regulations, such as:

Prior knowledge of nutrition and/or law is an advantage, but the course is open to anyone with higher professional education (HBO) level of working and thinking.
