A new team bursting with energy

New faces, but a familiar approach at Normec Groen Agro Control

The AGF and greenhouse horticulture sectors are developing rapidly. Stricter requirements from customers, technological innovations, and increasing focus on sustainability and product quality place high demands on laboratory services. In such a dynamic environment, it is important to work with a laboratory that is strong in terms of content and thinks along with you about the long term. At Normec Groen Agro Control, the customer always comes first. With our strengthened commercial team, we are committed to providing personal and professional support. We would like to introduce the team to you.

A new team bursting with energy

With new colleagues on board and a clear focus on personal customer contact, our commercial team is working on the future. The team consists of:

  • Klaas-Jan de Ruiter

    Commercial Manager Horticulture since November 2024, he brings years of experience in greenhouse horticulture to the table. He explains: “I know the entire playing field — from substrate and climate to sales. Precisely because the questions are becoming increasingly specific, it is important to be able to switch gears quickly. Having a permanent point of contact who knows your situation really makes all the difference.”

  • Joost Jansen

    Commercial manager AGF since November, he also brings a wealth of experience from the world of fresh produce, retail, and quality. He understands the importance of being close to the customer and focuses on expanding our customer base. “Our role is truly proactive. We actively seek connections, listen to what's going on, and work together to build solutions. Customers appreciate the direct contact.”

  • Jolanda Ditz

    She started twelve years ago at Normec Groen Agro Control in the back office and gradually worked her way up to account management. During those years, she worked at the intersection of customer contact, planning, and commercial support. She now knows the company and its customers inside out. She spends a lot of time on the road getting to know customers personally, with a focus on maintaining existing relationships. “You notice that customers appreciate personal contact. They like knowing who they're talking to on the phone — and that you understand their situation and can contribute meaningful input.”

All analyses under one roof: quick response, direct contact

Stefan Broch, Customer Experience Manager, has been working at the lab for twenty years and sees every day how important accessible customer contact is. “We are the only lab in the Netherlands that offers organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and microbiology under one roof. This allows us to respond quickly and means that customers don't have to divide their analyses between multiple labs. We take care of everything, from analysis to interpretation, ensuring clear, well-founded advice.”

With its own couriers driving throughout the Netherlands every day, a single phone number for all questions, and a fully internal analysis process, the lab is truly a one-stop shop. “Convenience for the customer is paramount,” says Stefan. “Whether it's a sample, a result, or a logistical question, you'll immediately be put in touch with someone who can help you.”

What do you notice as a customer?

Greater visibility, short lines of communication, and a focus on sustainable collaboration. Joost explains: “We actively seek contact with our customers. Not only when problems arise, but also to look ahead and contribute ideas.”

Jolanda also often hears how much customers appreciate being able to contact a single point of contact with all their questions. “That trust is built by investing in the relationship. We know our customers, and they know us.”

The strength also lies in the substantive expertise. Klaas-Jan adds: “We have specialists with diverse backgrounds in-house. This enables us to always provide customers with well-founded advice, no matter how complex the question.”
