Abiolab continues under the name Normec Abiolab

Since October 1, 2022, Abiolab has been part of Normec Foodcare. Normec Foodcare has thus expanded its services, knowledge, and expertise and has taken its first steps in France. On March 11, 2024, Abiolab continued its development and the French part of the organisation was renamed Normec Abiolab.

About Normec Abiolab

Normec Abiolab serves clients in the public and private sectors. Its head office is located in Montbonnot-Saint-Martin, near Grenoble. In addition to the head office, there are four laboratories spread across France and a platform in Switzerland. Normec Abiolab also provides audit services.

With a total of 130 employees, including 80 in Montbonnot-Saint-Martin, the main laboratory focuses on three different categories: Food, Environment (water and air) and Health. The three other laboratories focus exclusively on water analysis and are only responsible for operational analysis activities.

Expansion of Normec Abiolab in France

At the end of 2023, Normec Abiolab strengthened its position by acquiring the AdGène laboratory near Caen. Under the new name Normec Abiolab AdGène, the laboratory carries out analyses in the fields of water, Legionella, agri-food and GMO research under Cofrac accreditation. This acquisition enables Normec Abiolab to offer local services in northwestern France.
