Normec Abiolab accelerates growth in the Southwest

Normec Abiolab acquires four new laboratories and a unit dedicated to food hygiene and safety consulting. Located mainly in southwestern France, these entities are:

Laboratoire Labhya (located in Saint-Jean de Luz (64)): specialising in food microbiology and water microbiology
Labhya Midi Atlantique (located in Saint-Jean de Luz (64)): specialising in auditing, consulting, and training in food hygiene and safety
Laboratoire d'Analyses en Environnement (LAE) (located in Escalquens (31) near Toulouse): specialising in the fields of water chemistry and microbiology
Laboratoire Pays Basque Environnement (PBE) (located in Lahonce (64) near Bayonne): specialising in water chemistry and microbiology
Laboratoire Agro Qualité Service (located in Egletons (19) near Brive): specialising in food microbiology and chemistry

These acquisitions complete Normec Abiolab's territorial coverage in southwestern France and strengthen its expertise in food hygiene and safety consulting.

Normec Abiolab: Preserving water quality in the face of PFAS challenges

Starting January 1, 2026, water quality regulations will change. From then on, 20 PFAS will have to be analyzed for drinking water health checks, with particularly strict quantification limits. In this context, Normec Abiolab has invested in the PFAS project with the aim of meeting these new regulatory requirements. Our goal is to develop and validate a reliable and effective analysis method for these 20 PFAS.

Normec Abiolab accelerates its growth in the Pays de la Loire region

On February 28, Normec Abiolab acquired AVIMAR, a laboratory based in Challans (85) in the Pays de la Loire region. Specializing in food hygiene and safety, AVIMAR supports the livestock, agri-food, and marketing sectors, from farm to table. The laboratory offers animal health, food hygiene, and water analysis services, as well as inspection, audit, consulting, and training services, particularly in occupational risk management.

Normec Abiolab accelerates its growth in the Greater East region

Normec Abiolab is expanding with the acquisition of the QUALHYGIENE laboratory, located in Metz (57), and the food safety consulting company ALPRECO, based in Seyssinet (38). QUALHYGIENE, COFRAC-accredited for food microbiology activities, enriches our network of specialized laboratories, while ALPRECO brings its recognized expertise in food safety consulting. These acquisitions are part of our strategy for continued growth and strengthen our presence in France, while expanding our range of services.
