Attero about Normec QS
From Organic Waste to Green Energy
At Attero’s site in Wilp, waste is transformed into valuable raw materials and sustainable energy. What starts as household fruit, vegetable and garden waste ends up as green gas. Each year, Attero processes 225,000 tonnes of organic waste at this location, a large portion of which is digested into biogas. Thanks to innovative technologies, this biogas is upgraded into green gas, bio-LNG and liquid CO₂-fuels that contribute to cleaner transport and lower carbon emissions.
Transparency as the Foundation
But sustainability requires transparency. That’s why Attero has opted for ISCC EU certification, an internationally recognised standard that proves its green gas is genuinely sustainable. Normec QS conducted the audit and confirmed that Attero meets all requirements for full traceability and a reliable sustainability claim.
How Attero and Normec QS Work Together
In this video, experts from Attero and Normec QS explain how fruit, vegetable and garden waste is transformed into biogas, and then upgraded into green gas, bio-LNG and liquid CO₂. They show how certification ensures full traceability and proves the sustainability of the process. From digestion to audit, discover how technology, transparency and collaboration drive a cleaner future.
