To assess material conditions under loading, various shear strength tests can be performed. These include quick undrained tests to measure total shear strength, as well as Effective Stress testing, where materials drain and consolidate before loading. These tests provide insight into the stress-strain behavior, helping ensure long-term stability and reducing construction risks.
