Normec supports Orange the World

Gender equality, inclusivity, and a safe workplace should be the standard for women everywhere. Sadly, this is not yet the reality, and that’s why Normec actively supports the global campaign Orange the World.

The UN initiative Orange the World brings attention to the issue of violence against women. This year, we are once again raising awareness from 25 November - International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women - until 10 December. This period, marked annually, highlights our commitment to building a safer, more equitable world.

Why we support this campaign

At Normec, we place high importance on the well-being of our employees. We are committed to being a safe employer, making sure that every individual feels valued and protected. With an open culture where all issues can be discussed, we encourage our team members to speak up.

Our support for Orange the World also aligns with our broader ESG goals. One of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that we’re committed to is gender equality. This includes our efforts to increase representation of women in our workforce and in leadership roles, as well as actively working towards the UN goal of reducing violence against women and girls.

Taking action together

During this period, we’ll demonstrate our support visibly with posters at our offices, emphasizing our stance on this issue. Purchasing promotional materials for this campaign serves not only as a visual pledge of our support but also as a donation, helping to provide medical care, food, psychological support, and shelter for survivors.

Our commitment to a safe workplace and a more equitable world doesn’t just stop here. It’s part of our core values, and we hope that by supporting this campaign, we can contribute to meaningful change.
