Nieuwegein, 17 July 2025 – Synergy Health Utrecht B.V., a trusted name for cGMP accredited physical-chemical and microbiological contract testing services within the life sciences sector, is taking a strategic step forward. As of July 2025, the company will operate under the new name: Normec Synergy Health. This rebranding reflects a deeper integration with the Normec Group, a leading force in Testing, Inspection, Certification & Compliance (TICC).

Challengetesten in de voedingsindustrie: méér dan Listeria alleen
Challengetesten zijn laboratoriumproeven waarbij een bekend aantal micro-organismen (zoals Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella, Bacillus cereus, gisten of schimmels) bewust aan een levensmiddel worden toegevoegd. Vervolgens wordt het product onder realistische bewaarcondities (zoals temperatuur, verpakking en tijd) opgeslagen om te observeren of en hoe snel het micro-organisme groeit, overleeft of afsterft. Ze hebben tot doel de microbiologische veiligheid of houdbaarheid van een specifiek product te beoordelen in zijn echte matrix en verpakking. Challengetesten zijn vooral gekend in kader van Listeria-beheersing maar hebben tal van andere toepassingen en troeven.
