Normec erhält Silber im ESG-Rating

This year, Normec has made a significant contribution to forest conservation in the Copperbelt region of Zambia. We are supporting small-scale farmers in protecting and restoring the native miombo forests by planting 10,000 trees, equivalent to offsetting 1,000 tCO2. 🌳

The Copperbelt region has faced significant challenges from deforestation, with miombo forests severely impacted by intensive mining and charcoal production. Our project not only focuses on reforestation but also encourages the growth of naturally regenerating forests, helping to restore biodiversity and create habitats for endangered species.

In addition to environmental protection, we are empowering farmers by providing them with the tools and training to diversify their income sources. 🌾

As we reflect on the positive impact of this project, we look forward to continuing our efforts towards a more sustainable future.

Normec plants 4,500 trees in Malawi

Corporate social responsibility is here to stay. At Normec we work on this every day. Recently you could read an article about the Water for Life foundation, which we support with various projects. But this is not the only charity in which we are involved. This year we planted 4,500 trees in Malawi. One tree for every Normec employee!

Normec reaches over €2 billion valuation

Amsterdam, Wednesday, July 10 – Normec, a market leader in the TICC sector (Testing, Inspection, Certification, Compliance), has been acquired for an amount exceeding €2 billion. This transaction is financed through a combination of refinancing and a capital injection of €1.4 billion, raised by the pan-European investment fund Astorg. Normec will continue its acquisition strategy in Europe and is also exploring expansion opportunities in the United States.
