International label checks

If you produce food for countries outside the Netherlands, you sometimes have to deal with additional national legislation of the country in question in addition to Regulation (EU) no. 1169/2011. We can check for you whether your product complies with this legislation and whether additional information is necessary.

International label checks – a summary

  • We assess your labels based on the legislation of the country in which you sell

  • This way you can be sure that you are providing the correct food information to international consumers

  • We apply the four-eyes principle to every check.

  • After our analysis you will receive a report listing any deviations and advice

Risks of inadequate or incorrect international labeling

If the product declaration does not comply with national requirements, import may be refused. You can avoid the associated financial risks by checking the labeling of your export goods or packaging changes in good time.

Based on our analysis, you will receive a report detailing any deviations and recommendations for improvement.

Translation of labels and specifications

We also help you translate labels and specifications. This way you avoid fines and refusal of your products in these countries. Do you have a label in multiple languages? We can also check these for you. We work using the four eyes principle, which means that each check is carried out by two labelling specialists. After our analysis you will receive a report listing any deviations and advice.
