GOI certification offers numerous advantages:

  • Gain the trust of courts and creditors

  • Transparency and proof of high procedural quality

  • Competitive advantage when appointed as an insolvency administrator

  • Internal quality control and optimisation of processes

  • Strengthen your reputation in a demanding market environment

Certification is carried out by an independent certification body such as ours (Normec VQZ GmbH), which audits compliance with the GOI on the basis of a defined set of criteria. The audit examines, among other things, the law firm's staffing, procedures, documentation, quality assurance and IT systems. If the audit is successful, the law firm receives a GOI certificate with regular reviews (e.g. every 3 years) to ensure consistent quality.

GOI certification is aimed at insolvency administrators and law firms that are regularly involved in insolvency proceedings and wish to ensure the highest quality standards. The certification is particularly suitable for law firms that want to demonstrate their expertise, independence and procedural quality to the outside world and position themselves professionally in the competitive market.

The Principles of Proper Insolvency Administration (GOI) define binding quality standards for insolvency administrators. They were developed by the Association of Insolvency Administrators of Germany (VID) and include requirements for the administrator's qualifications, organisational and personnel resources, and the transparent and efficient handling of insolvency proceedings. The aim is to ensure professional, fair and transparent administration in the interests of all parties involved – especially creditors.

A certification process in the field of management systems is a project tailored to your company and your individual parameters. Therefore, the calculation depends on the certification standard, the size of the company, the number of locations and other company details. We collect this data in advance and provide you with a non-binding quote that enables you to make an informed business decision. In the area of prequalification, please refer to the fee schedule for the corresponding amount.

Every certification procedure for management systems or prequalification begins with contacting the accredited certification body. The procedure then usually goes through six generic steps:

  • Inventory

  • Preparation of quotation and contract

  • Documentation review

  • On-site audit or inspection, if necessary

  • Veto review

  • Certificate award

Certifications according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 13485 and SCC-VAZ 2021 are valid for three years. An initial audit and two surveillance audits take place during a three-year certification cycle. This is followed by another certification cycle with recertification and two surveillance audits. In the field of prequalification, a certificate is valid for five years. During this period, the subject of certification is reviewed every 20 months as part of a surveillance audit.

The accredited certification body Normec VQZ certifies your company and awards you your certificate after a successful certification process. Management system certifications according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 13485 and SCC-VAZ 2021 require an audit at your company, for which Normec VQZ employs competent and specially trained auditors and technical experts. In the area of prequalification, the evaluation takes place at the certification body. Depending on the scope applied for, an inspection of your company may also be necessary. Our certification activities are subject to regular review by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS).
