Auditor (m/f/d) for Energy Management
Normec Zertifizierung specializes in environmental assessments under the Renewable Energy Act (EEG), certification of energy management systems, and sustainability certification of biomass in the electricity, heat, and fuel sectors. Our mission is to make the world a little better through our work. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a permanent full-time employee or freelancer, available immediately or as soon as possible, located in Ahaus, Berlin, Leichlingen or remote.
As an auditor, you are responsible for assessing our clients based on external standards. If you are not yet a certified auditor, we will support you in obtaining the necessary qualifications. A minimum of four years of professional experience in occupational health and safety, environmental, or energy management is required. Comparable experience, such as working as an energy consultant, is also accepted. If you’re interested but unsure whether you meet the requirements, feel free to apply anyway.
Requirements
A completed technical or equivalent degree, ideally with a focus on environmental, energy, or engineering disciplines
Enjoy working with clients and possess a confident, communicative nature
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Class B driver’s license
Ideally, prior experience as an auditor (ISO 9001, 14001, or 50001) or completed auditor training (also in other areas)
Willingness to travel for field assignments
Your Responsibilities
Planning audit appointments in coordination with the client
Reviewing submitted documentation from clients
Conducting audits on-site as lead auditor for energy management systems according to ISO 50001 — including remote or desk audits
(Optional) Performing audits in sustainability certification under RED II (SURE and REDcert) or EEG assessments as an environmental assessor, depending on your expertise
Assessing conformity of clients’ management systems related to energy and compiling formal audit reports
Preparing and following up on audits
Liaising with clients, relevant certification bodies, and authorities
