If you need to inventory asbestos, certification is required by law. Only companies that meet the Asbestos Inventory Process Certificate regulations and hold the necessary certification are authorised to carry out asbestos inventory work.

What does asbestos inventory certification look like?

Before we can issue the Asbestos Inventory Process Certificate, we conduct an assessment program. This program consists of:

  • An assessment of a quality management system documented by you

  • An on-site assessment

  • An assessment of two asbestos inventory projects

Findings from these assessments are included in a report.

Asbestos inventory waiver

Because an asbestos inventory may only be performed by certified companies, waivers must be obtained for the two asbestos inventory works to be assessed during the permitting process.
