Demolition, renovation or remediation companies that plan to remove asbestos-containing material in risk class 2 must be certified. Only companies that meet the requirements of the Procescertificaat Asbestverwijdering (Process Certificate for Asbestos Removal) and hold the proper certification are permitted to carry out asbestos removal work.

What does certification for asbestos removal look like?
Before we can issue an Asbestos Removal Process Certificate to your company, we conduct an assessment program. This program consists of:
An assessment of a quality management system documented by you
An on-site assessment
An assessment of two asbestos removal projects
Findings from the assessments are included in a report.
Asbestos removal waiver
Because asbestos removal in risk class 2 may only be performed by certified companies, waivers must be obtained for the two asbestos removal works to be assessed during the permitting process.
