BRL 9345

BRL 9345 relates to the production of LD-slag and LD-slag mixtures for application in civil engineering works and to the quality system employed by the producer. Slag is produced as a liquid rock during the thermal decomposition of ores or the refining of liquid metals. Its mixtures are obtained by mixing the crushed slag with a hydraulic binder and possibly other rocky materials. LD-slag and LD-slag mixtures must comply with the Soil Quality Decree (SQD).

The BRL 9345 contains the requirements regarding the environmental quality of building materials in accordance with the SQD. The quality declaration to be issued is referred to as an NL BSB® product certificate.
