Inspection Concrete cladding
In order to permanently protect concrete against chemical deterioration, concrete structures are coated with a concrete protective or liquid-retaining layer. Concrete cladding prevents the action of gases and/or aggressive liquids and is used, for example, in waste water basins of WWTP’s or other storage tanks. Normec assesses the welds and checks whether the result meets the requirements.

Inspection of concrete cladding during construction and leak tightness investigation
Integrated application of HDPE linings in concrete structures are processed in accordance with the “Protocols for the application of plastic geomembranes for soil protection”. Both during and after the weldingwork, the welds are assessed and it is checked whether the result meets the set requirements.

assessment of the welders to be used
assessment of the welding process before and during the execution of the welding work
verification of the result by visual inspection
leak tightness test (with the vacuum or with the spark test method).
