Normec QS is accredited to perform inspections on plastics constructions.
Inspection of the leak tightness of groundwater barrier systems
At the request of the client, Normec inspects during the construction of the plastics construction on the following two important points:
Inspection of deepened PE filmconstructions in dry. For example, when constructing the entrances to a tunnel or railway underpass.
Inspections of PVC immersion structures in wet. For example, sheet piling pits and parts of deepened road routes.
The inspector records the findings in a report for the client, which is provided with a declaration of conformity.

Inspectie lekdichtheid grondwaterkering
Op aanvraag van de opdrachtgever inspecteert Normec QS tijdens de aanleg van de folieconstructie op de volgende twee belangrijke punten:
Inspectie van verdiepte PE- folieconstructies in den droge. Bijvoorbeeld bij de aanleg van de toeritten van een tunnel of spoorwegonderdoorgang.
Inspecties van PVC- afzinkconstructies in den natte. Bijvoorbeeld damwandkuipen en delen van verdiepte wegtracés.
De inspecteur legt de bevindingen vast in een rapport voor de opdrachtgever, welke wordt voorzien van een conformiteitsverklaring.
Process
The inspection work takes place during the entire process, during prefabrication, at the project location during execution and when the construction is ready by means of a geoelectric measurement (Declaration Liquid Tight).
In addition to inspection of the leak tightness, we also offer testing possibilities for lifetime testing of the applied plastics. This allows Normec to issue a lifespan expectation of at least 100 years under accreditation.
Accreditation for inspection
Normec QS is accredited to carry out inspections on plastics constructions. We do this on the basis of, among other things, the relevant standard “Protocols for the application of plastic geomembranes for soil protection” and the “CUR221 Handbook geomembranes constructions for deepened infrastructure.”
