PayOK quality mark

If you're a client in the temporary employment sector, the Dutch Labour Market Fraud (WAS) Act holds you responsible and liable for ensuring that contractors pay the correct wages throughout the entire chain. If you're a contractor, the PayOK quality mark lets you demonstrate to your clients that your employees receive the correct wages and that your organisation is a trustworthy business partner. Normec VRO can support you with this quickly and efficiently.

Benefits of the PayOK quality mark

  • PayOK stands for responsible contracting and fair remuneration

  • Reduces the risk of chain liability as defined in the WAS

  • Differentiates your business from the competition

  • Professionalizes your back-office operations

  • Applies to both domestic and foreign labour providers

The background of the PayOK quality mark

The PayOK quality mark was established by the PayOK Foundation. It assesses organisations within the labour chain for compliance with the Dutch Labour Market Fraud (WAS) Act. The goal of the certification is to provide clear insight into the labour chain. It helps reduce the risk of chain liability for both clients and contractors. With this certificate, you demonstrate that your employees receive the correct wages and that risks are minimised for you and your (main) client.

Also for foreign labour providers

The labour market is becoming increasingly international. PayOK certification is by far the safest solution, also when working with foreign labour providers. After a pilot with several international staffing agencies, the standard for foreign providers was established in 2020. When working with foreign staffing agencies, the risks for Dutch clients of violating the law tend to increase. Foreign companies that provide labour or carry out work in the Netherlands can use the PayOK quality mark to demonstrate that they meet the same requirements as Dutch companies. This allows clients to significantly reduce the risk of additional tax assessments or fines.

How to obtain the quality mark

We know exactly which standards are required by PayOK, and we conduct independent assessments to verify whether your organisation meets them. Once the certificate is obtained, we will typically perform an annual review of your administration. Curious about what our clients say about working with Normec?
