Leading in SNF inspections
SNF quality mark
Does your company manage housing or provide accommodation for migrant workers? With the SNF quality mark, you can demonstrate that you house migrant workers properly. The SNF quality mark applies to all companies housing migrant workers, such as real estate organisations, staffing agencies, businesses in agriculture (agricultural sector), or the meat processing industry. As an individual, you can obtain the certification if you own a maximum of one location (besides your own residence) and rent it out to migrant workers.
If you want to quickly and efficiently meet the SNF quality mark requirements, we are happy to inspect and report on the relevant areas within your organisation. Normec ensures the fastest turnaround time to achieve results.

What the SNF quality mark entails
The abbreviation SNF stands for Stichting Normering Flexwonen (Foundation for Standardisation of Flexible Housing). With the SNF quality mark, you demonstrate to municipalities, housing corporations, clients, employees, and neighbours of the housing locations that they comply with the established standards. This quality mark helps you gain the trust of all these stakeholders. It ensures the quality of housing for migrant workers.

Methodology
The three steps of the SNF quality mark
- 1
Inspection
Any company wishing to register, must first undergo an administrative inspection. After that, all locations for which the company is the "first responsible" will be inspected.
- 2
Report
You will receive a report from us based on the inspections, in which the various components of your company are evaluated. We will also highlight areas where improvement is needed.
- 3
Frequency
An administrative inspection takes place annually. If applicable, we typically inspect your housing locations once a year to ensure that you continue to meet the requirements of the SNF quality mark.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
First, register with the Flexwonen Standards Foundation. There you can indicate your preference for Normec VRO as the inspection body. We will then contact you to discuss further details and schedule an inspection. Where possible, we will visit your organization and (a sample of) your locations. The locations will be inspected together with someone from your organization.
Our findings will be communicated to you both verbally and in writing. We will also report the results of the inspection to the Flexwonen Standards Foundation.
During the inspection for the SNF quality mark, it may become apparent that your company does not meet a specific requirement of the standard, which could lead to an increased risk at a later stage. If this is the case, it is referred to as a minor non-conformity. During the next inspection, an assessment will be made to determine whether you have succeeded in resolving the deviation(s) identified.
If so, the company will remain registered in the Flexwonen Standards Foundation register. If the deviation identified has not been resolved, this is referred to as a major non-conformity and a re-inspection will be carried out by the inspector.
The location overview lists all locations that you hire. You must also include locations that you hire through an SNF-certified organization in the location overview. The number of locations to be inspected is determined based on the total number of locations.
