Glow loss
Normec Laboratory determines the organic matter content by annealing loss in accordance with RAW 2015 test 28. This method determines the amount of organic matter in a sample. This is measured by how much mass a dry sample loses when annealed in air.
Process
In this test, the organic matter content and CaCO3 content of sandy material are determined. The material is weighed, after which it is heated at 500 ˚C to determine the organic matter content. After this, the material is weighed again and then heated at 900 ˚C to determine the CaCO3 content.
Process
Three steps to certification
1. Sampling
You take a sample of the material to be analysed. We then collect the samples by courier.
2. Testing
In our lab, we perform the civil or environmental engineering tests that are applicable to you.
3. Reporting
You receive the results of the tests in a clear and unambiguous report.
