We are leading in civil engineering trials
Grain distribution
A grain distribution is a measurement of the structure and distribution of the grains of a granular material. It looks at the size of the grains and how the different sizes are distributed. Sieves are used to split the material. Then the split fractions are weighed. The result is expressed in a sieve curve. This shows in a graph the distribution of the different grain sizes of a sample. Correct distribution of the different fractions ensures that the hollow spaces formed by coarser grains are filled by finer particles. We carry out grain distribution in accordance with NEN-EN 933-1 under accreditation.
Process
Three steps to certification
1. Sampling
You take a sample of the material to be analysed. We then collect the samples by courier.
2. Testing
In our lab, we perform the civil or environmental engineering tests that are applicable to you.
3. Reporting
You receive the results of the tests in a clear and unambiguous report.
