Moisture and dry matter content

This test consists of determining the dry matter and moisture content in accordance with NEN-EN 1097-5. During the test, heat is used to remove moisture from the material. When there is no more moisture in the material, the moisture and dry matter content can be calculated.

Process

The material goes through a number of steps during this measurement. First, the moist material is weighed. Next, the material is dried at 110 °C until the mass no longer decreases. Then the dry material is weighed again. From the difference between these weighings, the moisture content is calculated.

Process

Three steps to certification

  1. 1

    Sampling

You take a sample of the material to be analysed. We then collect the samples by courier.

  2. 2

    Testing

In our lab, we perform the civil or environmental engineering tests that are applicable to you.

  3. 3

    Reporting

You receive the results of the tests in a clear and unambiguous report.
