Potable water testing
The safety and quality of potable water on board are of fundamental importance to those on board. However, the systems for producing, storing, and distributing potable water are susceptible to bacterial contamination. Maintaining low temperatures for onboard water is challenging, and water pipes are often prone to corrosion. Additionally, stagnant water sources, such as emergency showers, can be a source of Legionella contamination. Although many flag states, including the Netherlands, do not mandate potable water tests, an increasing number of shipping companies are conducting them as a matter of good employment practice.
Normec is happy to take the testing of potable water on board off your hands.
