Do your labels comply with current legislation? Not sure about your case? Or too little time to check your labels? Our labelling specialists are happy to help you. Normec Foodcare has a helpdesk with experts who assess your labels on the basis of the legislation in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011, regarding the provision of food information to consumers.

Applications

Check labels

Our experts assess your labels. You can send them to us by email so that we can assess them. After the assessment of the label, you will receive a complete final report with the findings and recommendations. There are various possibilities:

  • Checks in relation to Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011

  • Checks in relation to the Dutch language

  • Checks in relation to one or more languages ​​other than Dutch

  • Checks in relation to other legislation, for example claims and vertical legislation

  • Checks based on recipes and raw material specifications

  • Checks in relation to additional international legislation

Four-eyes principle

To ensure that we don't miss anything, our experts assess your labels based on the four-eyes principle. This means that every check is carried out by two labeling specialists. After assessing the label, we send you a report with our findings.

International

If you produce food for countries outside the Netherlands, you will, in addition to Regulation (EU) no. 1169/2011, sometimes have to deal with additional national legislation of the country concerned. We can check whether your product complies with this legislation and whether additional information is required. This way you can avoid penalties and refusal of your products in these countries.

    You can request a label check using the form at the bottom of this page. Here, you can leave your contact details and upload the label right away.

    Our specialists will contact you as soon as possible. For example, they may want to know if there are any specific requirements that we need to take into account when assessing the labels.

    You will receive a quote and a brief plan of action.

    Assessment

    We will assess the label and draw up a report with our findings and recommendations.

    Reporting

    The report will be sent to you by email. You can now immediately start adjusting your label, if necessary.
