Freelance Content Developer
Are you a Freelance Content Developer who loves creating content that guides visitors effortlessly through a website? Do you thrive on optimizing pages and ensuring a seamless user experience? We have an exciting opportunity for you! With a keen eye for UX, you’ll help us build a new website that makes an impact both content-wise and visually.
Your Assignment: Focus on Content and User Experience
During this project, you will collaborate with our team on the development and construction of a new website, integrating all entities into one platform, where you will play a key role. You will create engaging, user-friendly content that aligns perfectly with the structure and goals of the website. By combining creativity with analytical insight, you’ll use your UX design knowledge to guide visitors through the site in the most efficient way.
In concrete terms, your responsibilities will include:
Integrating content into a headless CMS
Improving the structure and layout of website pages with a focus on UX
Maintaining a consistent tone of voice that aligns with our brand identity
Thinking creatively about optimizations and testing new ideas
Providing support in content creation
Assisting with the onboarding of 70 entities, each with their own separate website, onto a single integrated platform
What we offer:
A freelance assignment of 3-5 days per week (at least 24 hours)
The chance to work from our office in Utrecht

A project duration of approximately 3 months, with the possibility of extension depending on scope expansion
Flexible start date, starting in Q1.
What you bring as a freelancer
You are curious, proactive, and combine strong writing skills with a solid understanding of UX design. You enjoy collaborating but are also comfortable taking ownership of your tasks.
Additionally, you bring:
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Communications, Multimedia Design, or a similar qualification
At least 2 years of experience in content creation, such as writing web copy, blogs, or microcopy
Experience with a headless CMS (experience with Contentful or Bynder is a plus)
A good sense of UX/UI and experience with building website pages
Excellent writing skills in Dutch (English or German is a plus).
The Marketing & Communications team
You will collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team at Normec, which consists of five sub-teams: Creative Services, Communications and Events, Integrated Marketing, Integrated Sales, and the Business Partners. The team operates across two locations, in Utrecht and Den Bosch, and consists of more than 20 colleagues all working towards ambitious goals.
