How we work
The process in four steps

Initial assessment
Not certified yet? We would then visit your company for an initial assessment, carried out in two stages. During the first phase, the auditor assesses your management system, while also focusing on the different parts of your company. Based on these findings, we’ll determine whether you’re ready for the second phase or whether this leads to postponement or cancellation.

Office and project audit
In the second phase of the first audit, the auditor carries out a wide range of work. These take place both in the office and at your project site(s). The duration of this phase depends, among other things, on the number of employees, project locations and branches of your organisation.

Issue certificate
If your organisation meets all the requirements for a specific standard, the auditor will recommend your organisation for certification. Before issuing the certificate, a final evaluation is conducted. The auditor will provide a brief summary of the investigation and highlight the key points in the corresponding report.

Period of validity of certificate and periodic audits
In most cases, the certificate you receive is valid for 3 years, with periodic audits conducted during this period. If any deviations are found, we follow the steps outlined above again. Three months before the certificate expires, a standard audit is carried out to ensure the standards are still being met.

All the most frequently asked questions
All information about our accreditation can be found on the website of the Dutch Accreditation Council (RvA). We are registered here under number C274 for management system certification number C234 for product certification.
Yes, our auditor are authorised to audit multiple schemes simultaneously or combined. However, for ongoing certificates, this does depend on the expiry date. The ISO standards (9001 and 14001) can be combined very well because of their structure. Audits for schemes such as VCA and ISO 9001 can also be combined

Signatories of the Governance Code for Safety in Construction (GCVB) have agreed with each other to improve safety in the chain by applying the Safety Culture Ladder. As of January 1, 2022, the Safety Culture Ladder is mandatory for tenders in construction. a certain step is made mandatory for (sub)contractors. The introduction will take place gradually. Step 2 will be required from 2023, step 3 from 2024.
