WSP Food takes quality assurance to the next level
WSP Food in Beuningen has been cutting and packaging high-quality meat products since 2009. To take quality assurance to an even higher level and gain more insight into KPIs, the company has opted to digitize its quality control processes using Normec Foodcare Online software.
Faster insight into improvement actions
WSP Food has chosen to start with the Inspections and E-learning modules. An implementation day was scheduled for both modules. During the first implementation day, the application was set up for WSP Food and the focus was on the Inspections module. For example, settings were configured to determine which employees have access to the software and who can view and edit which information within the module. This ensures that every user has the correct permissions within the software and that every employee can see their own action list and inspection schedule, for example.
Faster insight and time savings with digital inspections
The template for the inspection report was also compiled and formatted. The QA manager and quality officer received training on creating inspection lists, scheduling inspections, using the inspection app, creating actions, and viewing trend analyses. After this first implementation day, they were ready to carry out inspections using the iPad. Once the inspections have been completed, the reports, including photos, are immediately ready and trend graphs are updated. This saves the company time and provides faster insight into improvement actions.
Flexible training
The second implementation day was devoted to setting up the E-learning module and training on this module. Templates were created in the desired company layout and, at the end of the day, the employees were fully trained to create E-learning courses themselves, invite employees, and carry out and monitor the entire course management process. They will now train employees in a flexible and accessible manner in accordance with applicable instructions and procedures. The competency matrix provides insight into the status of each participant at any time, allowing for immediate adjustments where necessary.
