Normec climbs to top 6% in EcoVadis sustainability rating

As of this year, Normec ranks among the top 6% of all companies assessed worldwide for sustainability. In the annual EcoVadis evaluation, we achieved a score of 77 points. This is a six-point increase compared to 2024 and marks the fourth consecutive year we have received a silver medal.

Consistent progress

Since our first assessment in 2021, Normec has shown steady growth in the area of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG). Over four years, our score has more than doubled. With our current position in the top 6%, we are now at the upper end of the silver category. Gold is reserved for the top 5%.

In the 2025 assessment, we improved across all four themes:

  • Environment: 80/100 (maintained at a high level)

  • Labor and Human Rights: 78/100 (previously 70)

  • Ethics: 76/100 (previously 70)

  • Sustainable Procurement: 66/100 (previously 60)

These improvements reflect our ongoing efforts to embed sustainability into our processes and decision-making.

This year’s higher score is especially meaningful in a period of continued growth for Normec. ESG is now firmly embedded into the way we work, across all levels of the organisation, including our newly acquired entities. This progress reflects the dedication and involvement of colleagues throughout Normec.

Normec plants 4,500 trees in Malawi
