PFAS in food under accreditation
PFAS in food under accreditation
Normec Groen Agro Control is the first commercial laboratory in the Netherlands to analyze PFAS in food under accreditation.
This accreditation for PFAS offers food producers the opportunity to monitor PFAS in food in an easy and reliable way. This makes it possible to analyse PFAS in fish, shellfish, eggs, meat and fruit and vegetables under accreditation. On 7 February 2023, a European proposal to ban PFAS was published. The ban will apply from 2025 to the production, use, sale and import of more than 10,000 chemical substances, which are found in thousands of products that we use every day. In addition to accredited analyses of PFAS in food, Normec Groen Agro Control is also accredited for analyses in soil and water. Normec Groen Agro Control can also analyse PFAS in packaging material and animal feed, for example. In addition to testing for PFAS, Normec Groen Agro Control also offers support in setting up monitoring programmes, sampling and root cause analyses. More information about PFAS in the various products can be found on the website of Normec Groen Agro Control: www.agrocontrol.nl. For questions about checking PFAS in the various products, Normec Groen Agro Control can be reached on 015-2572511.
