Standard changes to SNF standard as of 01-01-2025

On December 24, SNF implemented a number of standard changes regarding the standard and regulations as of 01-01-2025. We have mapped out the changes for you below.

A. Standard set for annual administrative inspection

• Standard 1.2 (Personnel administration): as of 01-01-2025 it is possible to include a major if a new inspection shows that the standard requirement is not met again.

• Standard 3A1 (Periodic maintenance of location and direct surroundings): as of 01-01-2025 the logbook must also record how the findings were resolved and by whom. The inspection date, the name of the inspector, the address and the findings must of course also be recorded.

B. Standard set for site inspections

• Standard 2.3 (m2 bedroom): the exception rule regarding the number of m2 per bedroom has been lifted as of 01-01-2024. All floor areas per bedroom (for all types of housing) must be 3.5m2 per resident.

• Standard 2.3 (number of persons per bedroom): as of 01-01-2025, a bedroom may be used by a maximum of two persons. There was previously an exemption for this. This has now been lifted.
