Our policy is aimed at meeting the requirements of EN ISO/IEC 17021-1 and EN ISO/IEC 17065 and the certification schemes.

The course we take is largely determined by our customers. Our customers expect tangible proof of trust from us (the certificate from Normec Certification BV). With this certificate, our customer shows the market that it is expert, has mastered processes or has a system that guarantees the quality of services or products. The image of the certificate is therefore very important for the customer.

Our belief is that by being open, clear, independent, impartial, objective, expert, confidential, skilled and non-discriminatory, we can contribute to a positive image. This allows our customer to increase its competitiveness and gain access to desired markets. Due to past choices, Normec Certification BV's customers can mainly be found in the construction, demolition, recycling and civil engineering sectors. Sectors with which Normec Certification BV feels connected. Particularly within these sectors, we want to contribute to the good quality reputation of our customers.

Normec Certification BV helps to constantly develop and improve the certification schemes in which we are active. This improves the image and added value for our customers and increases our expertise. We want to remove everything that could lead to damage to the image. This allows measures to be taken to eliminate the threat. Measures include: Declarations regarding the absence of conflicts of interest, disclosure of threats by management and (hired) employees and others involved in Normec, risk assessment, financial assessment, insurance and reserves and clear contracts with our customers. Also, other certification bodies are not certified for their activities as a certification body.

If independence is not sufficiently guaranteed, certification will not be carried out. All other activities are assessed to determine whether they are compatible with our certification activities. Normec Certification BV does not carry out quality consultancy activities, including carrying out internal audits. To underline this, Normec Certification BV gives the Council for Independence and the Council for Accreditation full access to all necessary data to test Normec Certification BV's policy in practice.

Normec Certification BV always supports the certification decision it makes. The quality system is a tool to implement the policy. It describes our own working method and that of our outsourced work. It also describes the tasks, responsibilities and authorities. It is assessed annually whether the system works and is effective. We will always try to improve the quality system, including by including measurable objectives in the assessment by management and promptly handling any complaints. Furthermore, everyone is expected to act impartially and not allow any undue pressure.
