KUK-Benelux about Normec QA
KUK-Benelux convinced of Normec Foodcare's added value
Obtaining a food safety certificate while work piles up in the quality department? It's possible! KUK-Benelux recently obtained the IFS Broker certificate with a higher level score. And all this while employees were able to remain focused on their own work. Corine and Jannes are happy to explain how KUK-Benelux achieved this.
Quality and food safety
KUK-Benelux, a distributor of additives and ingredients for the food industry, attaches great importance to quality and food safety in its processes in order to meet the requirements of its customers. The company was therefore looking for a professional partner who could support them in this process.
GAP analysis
Normec Foodcare helped identify action points by means of an initial GAP analysis. This analysis showed that KUK-Benelux's working methods were already well established, but that written procedures and a structured quality manual were lacking.
Normec Foodcare implemented the written procedures and guided KUK-Benelux during the audit to achieve the desired end result. As a distributor between customer and producer, traceability, risk management, and control over the entire process flow are particularly important. And since every colleague must focus on their core activities, the collaboration with Normec Foodcare has ensured that KUK-Benelux can continue to focus on what they do best.

Higher level score
The collaboration with Normec Foodcare has resulted in an IFS Broker certificate with a higher level score and daily operations in which food safety is standard practice. This has ensured a professional image, trust among their customers, staff with an eye for detail and the right mindset and insights.
Working method
The smooth intake interview with Commercial Manager Jolien led to a tailor-made proposal. This consisted of a GAP analysis, full implementation, and guidance during the audit. The appointed Quality Advisor, Aaricia, assessed the IFS Broker standard against the company's working methods. Together with Corine and Jannes, the action points were worked on step by step and translated into structured and uniform procedures by the entire KUK team (the entire KUK team considers food safety to be of paramount importance and was therefore more than willing to contribute). A validation was then carried out by Regional Manager Freija using internal audits. As a result, all procedures were completed six months after the intake interview.
In the future, KUK-Benelux will recommend Normec Foodcare to companies seeking support in quality and food safety.
KUK Group also convinced
Partly due to the successful process, the KUK Group has become convinced of the added value of Normec Foodcare and has decided to appoint them as its partner in quality and food safety in other countries as well. Training courses, given by Knowledge Manager Kaat, for all Quality Managers of the group have now been completed and will soon contribute to the certification of other entities. In the future, KUK-Benelux will recommend Normec Foodcare to companies looking for support in quality and food safety.
