The Food Quality Payroll (Voedselkwaliteit Loonwerk or VKL in Dutch) is a quality system for the Agricultural Payroll sector. This certificate demonstrates that you, as a contract worker, meet agricultural and trade safety requirements.

The VKL certificate is for companies in which the activities largely consist of performing work with, on or by machines, for vegetable and animal production.

There are two levels of VKL certification:

  • VKL*. A certification for the minimum necessary, namely, compliance with the regulations related to business activities

  • VKL**. At this level, the presence and implementation of a company-specific risk inventory and analysis are also tested.
