Normec's board of directors consists of driven entrepreneurs. We would like to introduce them to you.
Joep Bruins is an entrepreneur with a background in the technical and financial sector. Before Normec he was CEO of the Orangefield Group, a financial service provider which in the space of ten years he developed from a small player to an international organisation with offices in more than 20 countries. Following the sale of Orangefield, Joep found a new challenge: to add value to the inspection and certification market. In 2015 he established Normec with colleagues Marco and Martje.
Robert Wolff is Chief Financial Officer at Normec. After studying business economics, he gained accounting & management experience at General Electric’s Corporate Audit Staff. In 2007 Robert joined US based retailer VF Corp, leading strong growth of the Asia region as CFO Asia. In 2014 Robert joined Cognita Schools, a buy and build PE backed private school operator as CFO Asia. Robert returned to The Netherlands in 2017 to join The Adecco Group as CFO Northern Europe, leading finance transformation. Robert joined Normec in May 2022.
Britt Schuurs is Chief Operating Officer at Normec. Prior to Normec, Britt was an investment professional at Summit Partners, a large private equity fund based in Boston, San Francisco and London. Britt started her career at Goldman Sachs in London focusing on Mergers & Acquisitions in the European technology sector. Britt holds a BSc in Actuarial Sciences and a MSc in Financial Econometrics from the University of Amsterdam.
Frederik Bernoski is General Counsel at Normec. After studying law, he gained great experience as a solicitor with Nauta Dutilh (including in New York). In 2010, Frederik began working with Joep Bruins at Orangefield Group. After going his own way for several years, Frederik has been working with Normec since August 2020. With his extensive knowledge in the legal field, he is closely involved in takeover processes and is a legal sounding board for the organization.
Mike de Groot is Chief Investment Officer at Normec. Prior to Normec, Mike has spent 12 years at Corpay (NYSE: CPAY), a company previously backed by Advent International, Bain Capital and Summit Partners and now a listed S&P500 company. Mike served as Head of M&A Europe/Asia and President of their European operations. Before Corpay, Mike spent several years in Investment Banking in London covering the TICC space among other things. Mike holds two MSc degrees in International Financial Management and Business and Management.
Werner de Wever is an accomplished Chief Digital Officer with a robust international digital transformation track record across diverse industries. With a solid background at several consulting companies, he has led IT at board level, managing digital transformation programs and multidisciplinary teams. Werner has profound experience in industrial automation, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies like cloud computing, big data, and machine learning. He holds both a Masters in Engineering and Masters in Computer Auditing.
Marco Zomer is one of the three founders of Normec. Marco holds a master’s degree in Econometrics & Management Science and a master’s degree in Economics & Business and has extensive experience in various management roles. Since the founding of Normec, he has contributed to Normec’s growth from various positions. He has successively been CFO, CTO, COO, Projects & IT manager and again CFO. Currently as Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), he is in charge of Normec's ESG policy.
Lotty Willemsen - Tijhaar is Chief Human Resources Officer at Normec. She joins the company from Ebbinge, an executive search firm, where she spent over eight years honing her expertise. Since January 2023, Lotty has served as a Partner at Ebbinge, showcasing exceptional leadership and strategic vision. In her role, she was responsible for the Consumer Goods & Retail practice, advising on leadership development and conducting executive searches for the boards of entrepreneurial mid-market companies. Before joining Ebbinge, Lotty held various HR roles at companies such as Jumbo Supermarkten, where she gained broad experience in areas including learning & development, performance management, and compensation & benefits. Lotty holds a master's degree in Technical Engineering and Management.
Vincent Bremmer holds a Law degree from the University of Amsterdam and brings over 20 years of international operational experience. He started his career at Baker & McKenzie after which he moved to the business services sector and was part of the team which created Orangefield in 2007. Subsequently Vincent moved to Asia to grow the Asian business for Orangefield and set up a fast-growing new division after the merger of Orangefield with its acquirer. He returned to the Netherlands in 2018 as Group Regional Director Europe, holding overall responsibility for the European offices. Vincent joined Normec in 2023 to lead the newly formed Healthcare Division.
Martje Princen is one of the three co-founders of Normec. She has a legal background and, along with Joep Bruins, has also worked at Orangefield Group. In March 2016 she started as operational director of Normec Certification, subsequent to which in 2017 she became the managing director responsible for all business units under Normec Assurance. In 2020, Martje was appointed as managing director of Normec Life Safety & Environment. As of 2023 she leads the newly formed Safety Division.
Roos Sorgdrager brings a wealth of experience in strategic leadership, (lean) transformation, and commercial management. Before joining Normec, Roos worked at Mediq Group, where she served as Vice-President Category Management & Managing Director of Mediq Private Label. At Mediq, she drove commercial and (lean) transformation, reorganizations and strategic realignment, bringing multiple brands together, alongside launching numerous new products. Prior to her time at Mediq, Roos worked at McKinsey & Company, where she specialized in transformations, culture change, and leadership development.
Mariska van Schaik completed her Food Technology studies in Den Bosch. Subsequently she started as QA advisor at the Care for Food Group. In just over fifteen years, Mariska has become a specialist in the Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance (TICC) business. She has managed several business units during this period. From 2018 until 2023 she was as Operational Director responsible for all the Quality Assurance and Quality Control units of the Foodcare Division. As of 2023 she is responsible for the new Division Sustainability.
Niels Langereis has over 18 years of experience in media, content, and digital agency leadership. He excels in integrating business strategy, technology, and creative storytelling. Before joining Normec, Niels held multiple Director roles at leading agencies under prominent holding companies such as WPP, Publicis Groupe, and Havas. His tenure at Hogarth and Wavemaker demonstrated his abilities in digital marketing and innovation. Niels holds a Master of Arts in Economics from the School of the Arts Utrecht, in collaboration with the University of London. He is passionate about AI and digital transformation.
