  • Joep Bruins

    Joep Bruins

    Chief Executive Officer

    Joep Bruins is an entrepreneur with a background in the technical and financial sectors. Before founding Normec, he was CEO of Orangefield Group, a financial services provider that he grew over the course of ten years from a small player into an international organization with offices in more than 20 countries. After selling Orangefield, Joep took on a new challenge: adding value to the inspection and certification market. Together with his colleagues Marco and Martje, he founded Normec in 2015.

  • Mads Dehlsen

    Mads Dehlsen

    Chief Financial Officer

    Mads Dehlsen Winther is a Danish finance executive with extensive international leadership experience in fast-growing organizations operating in multiple countries. Before joining Normec, Mads held senior CFO positions at Oterra and HusCompagniet, where he supported large-scale transformation programs and guided organizations through complex growth phases, including an initial public offering. In addition to his CFO roles, he has served as an interim CEO, board member, and senior advisor to private-equity and family-owned companies, with experience in the renewable energy, infrastructure, transportation, and industrial sectors.

  • Mark Taylor

    Mark Taylor

    Chief Commercial Officer

    Mark Taylor is Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Normec Group and is responsible for commercial excellence and supporting the organization’s international growth objectives.

    Prior to joining Normec, he held various international commercial leadership roles, including CCO at Waterlogic, where, following the acquisition by Culligan International, he played a key role in the integration and further scaling of the organization. Throughout his career, Mark has built and professionalized international commercial teams within fast-growing private equity environments.

  • Britt Schuurs

    Britt Schuurs

    Chief Investment Officer

    Britt Schuurs is Chief Investment Officer at Normec. Prior to joining Normec, Britt was an investor at Summit Partners, a U.S.-based private equity firm with offices in Boston, San Francisco, and London. Britt began her career at Goldman Sachs in London on the Mergers & Acquisitions team, focusing on the European technology sector. Britt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science and a Master’s degree in Financial Econometrics from the University of Amsterdam.

  • Lotty Willemsen - Tijhaar

    Lotty Willemsen - Tijhaar

    Chief Human Resources Officer

    Lotty Willemsen - Tijhaar is Chief Human Resources Officer at Normec. Before joining Normec, Lotty worked at Ebbinge, an executive search firm, where she honed her expertise for more than eight years. Starting in January 2023, Lotty served as a Partner at Ebbinge, where she demonstrated outstanding leadership and strategic vision. In this role, she was responsible for the Consumer Goods & Retail practice, advising on leadership development and conducting executive searches for the management teams of entrepreneurial mid-market companies. Before joining Ebbinge, Lotty held various HR positions at companies such as Jumbo Supermarkets, where she gained broad experience in areas including learning & development, performance management, and compensation & benefits. Lotty holds a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management.

  • Frederik Bernoski

    Frederik Bernoski

    General Counsel

    Frederik Bernoski is General Counsel at Normec. After completing his law degree, he gained valuable experience as an attorney at Nauta Dutilh (including in New York). In 2010, Frederik worked alongside Joep Bruins at Orangefield Group. After pursuing his own path for several years, Frederik has been working at Normec since August 2020. With his extensive legal knowledge, he is closely involved in acquisition processes and serves as a legal resource for the organization.

  • Werner de Wever

    Werner de Wever

    Chief Information Officer

    Werner de Wever is an experienced Chief Digital Officer with a solid international track record in digital transformation across various sectors. With a background at several consulting firms, he has led IT at the executive level and managed digital transformation programs and multidisciplinary teams. Werner has extensive experience in industrial automation, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies such as cloud computing, big data, and machine learning. He holds both a Master’s degree in Engineering and a Master’s degree in Computer Auditing.

    Marco Zomer

    Chief Sustainability Officer

    Marco Zomer is one of the three founders of Normec. He holds a Master’s degree in Econometrics & Management Science and a Master’s degree in Economics & Business. In addition, he has extensive experience in various management roles. Since Normec’s founding, he has contributed to the company’s growth in various capacities. For example, he has served successively as CFO, CTO, COO, Projects & IT Manager, and then CFO again. As Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), he is responsible for Normec’s ESG policy.

  • Mariska van Schaik

    Mariska van Schaik

    Managing Director Sustainability

    Mariska van Schaik completed her studies in Food Technology in Den Bosch. She then began her career as a QA advisor at the Care for Food Group. Over the course of more than fifteen years, Mariska has developed into a specialist in the Testing, Inspection, Certification, and Compliance (TICC) sector. She has led various business units. From 2018 to 2023, as Chief Operating Officer, she was responsible for all Quality Assurance and Quality Control units within the Foodcare business line. Starting in 2023, she will be responsible for the new Sustainability business line.

  • Olivier Defline

    Olivier Defline

    Managing Director Healthcare & Life Sciences

    Olivier is Managing Director of Healthcare & Life Sciences at Normec. He has held leadership positions in the Testing, Inspection, Certification, and Compliance (TICC) sector in Europe and Asia, including a leadership role at Eurofins in Asia-Pacific and later as Group COO for support functions. Before joining Eurofins, Olivier worked at PPG Industries as General Manager for Retail Architectural Coatings in Southwest Europe. He began his career at Oliver Wyman, where he focused on strategy and performance improvement. Olivier holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from CentraleSupélec.

  • Carsten Bettermann

    Carsten Bettermann

    Managing Director Life Safety

    Carsten Bettermann has extensive international experience leading multi-site and multi-country organizations across Europe.

    Throughout his career, he has held senior management positions at companies including Prosegur, Edenred (UTA), and CWS-boco, where he had ultimate responsibility for the P&L. Most recently, he led an organization with revenue of €350 million and approximately 4,500 employees in Germany. Carsten is known for his ability to further professionalize organizations, effectively manage remote teams, and achieve sustainable growth and performance improvements.

  • Benoist Lasserre

    Benoist Lasserre

    Managing Director Foodcare

    Benoist is Managing Director of Foodcare at Normec. He has held leadership positions in the TICC sector (Testing, Inspection, Certification, and Compliance) and has extensive experience in food, environmental, and analytical laboratory services. Before joining Normec, Benoist held various leadership positions at AGROLAB, where he was responsible for business growth, operational excellence initiatives, and post-acquisition integrations across multiple countries. Throughout his career, he has built and led international organizations with full responsibility for the profit and loss statement, and played a key role in the execution and integration of more than 30 acquisitions. Benoist is known for combining strategic leadership with strong operational execution, helping companies achieve sustainable growth and scalability.
